Adventure, Purpose & Passion
Carolyn, founder and director of Colorado Wedding Officiants, Sunflower Weddings & Beyond, Enlightend Living, WedGreen-LiveGreen and Be The Love Course in Spiritual Partnership, has enjoyed her varied and cutting edge careers as holistic nutritionist, bereavement counselor, interfaith minister, hospice chaplain, lifestyle change educator, speaker, couples coach and green advocate. A graduate of UCLA and The New Seminary, she has a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in spiritual counseling and divinity, and certifications in nutrition, clinical alchemical hypnotherapy and a variety of personal growth and relationship education trainings.
She is very knowledgeable in world religions and wisdom traditions, and brings to her clients and couples over 20 years experience in individual, couples, family, and pet loss counseling and coaching, She has designed and officiated more than 1,000 life ceremonies for people, pets and organizations.
Her work as an interfaith hospice chaplain/spiritual care coordinator, bereavement counselor and lifestyle change coach has been extremely helpful in understanding the needs of each person, couple, family and organization.
She enjoys hiking, walking, running and dancing, and sings opera, blues and big band music (in the car and shower), as well as deepening her meditation and spiritual growth practice. She has two adult children and two grandbabies (Owen and Kinsman). Lyla, her feline companion, is her greatest vocal fan (she loves opera). Prior to moving to Colorado in 2001 Carolyn had a thriving ceremony and counseling practice in New Jersey.
As Sunflower Weddings reputation for professionalism and creativity spread throughout Colorado, Carolyn realized the tremendous need for what she offers couples in ceremony choices and multi-cultural knowledge. She has now trained a team of Professional Officiants and Celebrants to join her in giving couples, from all paths of life, what they want for their wedding and beyond.

Reverend Girard is an ordained non-denominational minister who has been performing wedding ceremonies for nearly 5 years. His primary, and long-time, career as a Trade Show/Event Planner brings excellent organizational and management skills to the ceremony process.
His joy is listening deeply to couples in order to learn what is truly important about them and unique to their lives and ceremony. It is then his honor to perform a jointly crafted and meaningful ceremony that reflects that vision. He brings a spirit of enthusiasm and adventure to his work as a Wedding Celebrant.
Reverend Girard lives in Boulder County, Colorado and is the proud father of 2 sons. He completed 11 marathons throughout the US and remains physically active with running, biking and swimming. He also does volunteer work for local non-profit organizations. |
Rev. Will Rehler: Will has been a priest for 40 years; 16 years in the Roman Catholic traditopn and 24 as an Episcoplian. He is currently employed as a Hospice Chaplain with VistaCare Hospice and active in the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado. Cross-cultural ministry has always been one of his areas of speciality. He has been active as a spiritual director and teacher in spiritual development for the past 40 years.
