Wedding & Vow Renewal Ceremonies
A non-refundable scheduling retainer/deposit is required to hold your specific date and time and any rehearsal. With a limited number of preferred weekend dates available in any given year, the schedule fills up fast and a deposit holds your chosen date and time. you.
The fee is dependent on the type of ceremony you choose:
Basic Wedding/Vow Renewal Ceremony ($300) - This is a prewritten ceremony. There is no preliminary meeting* or rehearsal. However, it is performed at your chosen site. The basic elements include a brief introduction ["We are gathered here today for the marriage of..."] with a relevant reading, the taking of simple vows, an optional giving of rings, and a pronouncement of marriage. It's a lovely ceremony that lasts about 10 minutes and you can have it at the location of your choice.
A $150 deposit is required to reserve the date and time of the ceremony. The remaining balance plus any other fees are due after the ceremony.
* A telephone consultation is included. However, if you want to schedule a meeting in person, an additional fee of $50 will be applied.
Contemporary, Modern, Spiritual, Humanistic, Zen, Christian, Catholic or Jewish Wedding Ceremony from my guidebook ($400) -Choose one of eight prewritten wedding ceremonies. These ceremonies are for couples who do not require a custom ceremony. The process involves an initial meeting (usually in person but we can also meet by phone or email). There is no customization involved in these ceremonies. A keepsake copy of your ceremony is included.
Custom Weddng/Vow Renewal Ceremony ($500+) - All customized ceremonies start at this level. Increases in cost only come about if there are ongoing changes (some changes are expected) or if I am given less than a week to prepare a complex ceremony.
This ceremony is created specifically for the couple. It will be exactly what the couple wants. The process involves an initial meeting (usually in person but we can also meet by phone or email) and working with you to decide what elements you want in your ceremony. You can choose from the material in my guidebook and/or add your own ideas. Some couples start with one of the eight ceremonies listed above and add other material. Some couples start totally from scratch and use material from my guidebook as well as other sources. There are unlimited possibilities that can be incorporated to create a customized ceremony.
A $200 retainer is required to reserve the date and time of ceremony. The final balance, plus any additional fees are due one week prior to the wedding.
Rehearsals are an additional $100 and usually last about an hour. Please make sure that everyone who is needed will be present.
*Additional charges apply for major holidays.
